Godavari Biorefineries is pioneering the transition to a sustainable future by making Ethanol, Chemicals and Renewable Energy from biomass. The company also makes sugar and is doing research in regenerative farming as it works with over 20,000 farmers in over 200 villages to help them improve yields, incomes and sustainability. The company’s products find use in food, fuels, solvents, cosmetics, fragrances, pharmaceuticals, mining, agriculture, and a variety of different applications. The products are sold worldwide.
These Trusts are involved in education, healthcare, and rural development in the States of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Gujarat. The Trust manages many different educational institutions of learning extending from elementary to Ph. D. The education is imparted in diverse areas such as medicine, engineering, the arts and sciences, religion, vocational studies, education, languages, etc. With over 6 decades of rich experience in building and managing educational institutes of great repute, Somaiya Vidyavihar became a Private University in August 2019. There are over 39,000 students and 1,500 faculties among all the initiatives of these Trusts. There is also a 550 bed urban teaching hospital.
